Megan & Scott Wedding Lumber Exchange Event Center

I am so excited to share the story of Megan & Scott’s wedding day at the Lumber Exchange Event Center in Minneapolis!  They had a gorgeous April day — blue skies and perfect temperatures — to compliment the beautiful space in the Lumber Exchange building.  There were so many fun places to take photos in the building and we took advantage of many of them!  The afternoon started with Megan and her girls getting ready in pretty matching floral robes in the gorgeous “girls” getting ready room.

The flower girls’ dresses were high on the twirl factor.  I don’t think these three adorable girls minded that.  🙂

The guys had a pretty amazing getting-ready space as well, complete with a putting green and pool table!

Megan and Scott wanted to save the first look until their ceremony.  So we gathered family and wedding party in some of the fun spaces around the venue, including the marble staircase, the beautiful room off the main reception area, and outside in front of the Bob Dylan mural!  We were careful to keep the bride and groom away from each other!

And then it was time for the main event — the ceremony!  It took place in the beautiful main courtyard of the Lumber Exchange building.  This was Scott’s first glimpse of Megan in her wedding dress, and I love how emotional he got while watching her walk down the aisle with her dad.

During the ceremony the couple was all laughs and smiles.

After the ceremony, we gathered the entire wedding party and families for some more pictures that included both the bride and groom.  Then we sent everyone off to the cocktail hour while Megan and Scott enjoyed some time together.  Again, these two just kept smiling and laughing.  They were so relaxed and happy!

The reception started with a wedding party procession, and was filled with kissing guests and lots of great toasts.  I also convinced Megan and Scott to sneak away to the roof top for a few minutes for some more alone time and pictures as the sun set.  This was probably my favorite time of the day watching them have fun together and enjoy being alone for a few minutes.

Next up was cake-cutting and the dance!  After the traditional first dances, the dance floor exploded with people ready to bust a move!  So much fun to watch and capture the celebration!

I am so thankful that I got to be a part of your special day, Megan and Scott.  I hope these photos help you always remember the details and emotions of your day!  Congratulations!  ♥
