June Family Photo Sessions

We are officially in the last week of summer … I can’t believe it!  I had a great summer photographing so many lovely families.  I’ve neglected this blog a bit over the summer months since I’ve also had a great summer spending time at home with my kids.  But I had to show off all of the beautiful and amazing families I got to photograph over the past couple of months!  This post will highlight the June sessions, and I will do another one tomorrow for July.  I took off the month of August to go on a family vacation so I will post about that as well!  Here we go! 🙂

I started the month off meeting a new family that lives in my town.  They were so much fun to be with and get to know.  I just love meeting new people doing this job!  Their daughter is the same age as mine and acted very similar!  We captured a lot of fun family shots and I loved the end of the session when the kids let loose and ran around.  Those are always my favorite pictures!

Next up, I met one of my favorite clients and her and sweet little baby that I have photographed before.  We met for a quick session to celebrate Scarlett’s 6 month birthday, and got some beautiful images with her mom.  I get to meet them again for photos in the fall and I cannot wait to see how she has grown!

Later in June, I met my friend Angie and her family for photos in Bloomington.  Angie was my daughter’s preschool teacher, and we have kept in touch through Facebook and some healthy eating challenge groups that she runs.  It was special to be able to photograph her adorable family!  Her older daughter goes off to kindergarten next week and I will be thinking of the whole family during that exciting time!

Later that day I had a really fun job to photograph a birthday party for a special 4 year old!  It was a fun celebration and I enjoyed getting to know the family and spending time with all of the kids running around the yard and bounce house!

My final session of the month was with a lovely family in Minneapolis.  They lived right near Lake Calhoun and we walked around the neighborhood, stopping to take pictures in a lot of pretty areas!  These three boys are so handsome and funny, and kept me laughing the entire session.  I really enjoyed getting to know them, and it was a fun change to take pictures of some older kids!
