Hello! In 2016, I decided to take on a “365” photo-a-day project. And of course since it is leap year, it is actually 366 photos this year! It has been a great way to make sure I pick up my camera each day, even in the grey, cold early months of the year. I am looking forward to having a daily photo diary at the end of the year. Each month I will share some of my favorites from the prior month here on the blog. To start, I am sharing my favorites from January, February, and March. I am following the Capture Your 365 project website, which gives a word prompt each day. I love having a word to focus on each day because it helps to give a lot of variety to my photos. Here are a few favorites so far! ♥
January
Jan 18th: “With the Sky.” I remember I took this on one of the negative 30 temperature January days. This picture makes me really glad we have made it to April. We may still see some flurries – like right now as I look out my window – but nothing like this bitter January cold.
The next two are January 20: “Under.” Looking up, under the hoop in our driveway. Again, this cold, gray January sky makes me glad we are done with that weather for a while. And January 29: “On.” Sweet heart laying on the floor watching TV on a sick day.
February
February 5: “Silky Soft.” Our pretty cat, Hanalei, and her silky soft fur.
February 10: “Daily Scene.” These two at the breakfast table. One doing homework, one eating. A stray marker. And my mug of coffee.
February 26: “From the Top.” Our piano.
March
March 8: “Wearing a Favorite.” This stylish girl loves to twirl around in a skirt or dress. Every day. And March 10: “What I’m Reading.” We are almost through this series! These are my books from when I was young. I love reading them now as an adult — such a different perspective!
March 27: “Depth of Field.” This was on Easter Sunday and we had an abundance of jelly beans! And March 28: “Vintage.” A picture of a big ship from our spring break trip to Duluth.
